UPCOMING COMMUNITY WORKSHOPS:
This two day workshop will provide you with the information you need about on-farm oil pressing, using the bioproducts meal and oil, as well as making biodiesel. It’s a hands-on workshop for you explore the functioning of an oil press and how to ration, test, and use the bioproducts you produce to save money. Find out how oil pressing and biodiesel production might fit onto your farming operation!
Day 1: On-farm Oil Pressing 101
Tour a farm-scale oil pressing facility, play with the knobs and buttons that make a press run efficiently, learn about the value of the bioproducts produced. Understand how to effectively produce, store, and ration Energrow soybean meal and oil. Find out the economics of on-farm oil pressing, shared system opportunities, available government grants and support programs, as well as financing opportunities for your value-added operation.
Day 2: On-farm Biodiesel 101
Learn about the process of making biodiesel. Tour a mobile biodiesel trailer and do a number of labs including: titration of oil, transesterfication, settling glycerol/ methanol recovery, washing, drying and testing quality of biodiesel. Find out about local biodiesel initiatives in your area and explore the economics of on-farm biodiesel production.
Option for Day 3 Advanced Biodiesel Production
Day 1 is $25, Day 2 is $100. Advanced biodiesel session costs $200/ person. You must book by June 9, 2009 for these workshops.

The Canadian International Farm Show has new owners, a new focus, new ideas and a promising future. The show is now owned, managed and produced by Master Promotions Ltd, Canada's largest and leading producer of high quality industry focused trade shows.
Energrow was pleased to take part in this show - a show that aims to get back to the "roots of the farm show." The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is a unique event that takes place every November in the City of Toronto. The Royal is the largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition in the world. Where Canadian and International breeders, growers and exhibitors are declared champions and where hundreds of thousands of attendees come to learn, compete, shop and have a great time with friends and family.
The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair began on November 22, 1922 with an astonishing 17,000 agricultural entries and over 150,000 visitors. Now planning for its 86th year, The Royal continues to hold an important place in the world of agriculture and in the hearts and minds of the many participants and visitors - now over 326,000 strong - who continue to appreciate this truly one-of-a-kind event.

This event is intended to have an educational focus, with various speakers (including students), exhibitors and presenters who are concerned about our environment and human wellness, and how both are connected to specific things that we all do. The intention is to focus on solutions to all these problems, that are easy to implement, but which also make a significant impact on climate change, energy conservation and toxin levels in our air, water and food – just to name a few. Schools are invited to attend the Expo.

This conference and exhibition explored the technological, operating, policy, regulatory, financial and other challenges and opportunities facing farms and related food processing and rural industries as they strive to improve their energy efficiency, better utilize byproducts - and ultimately improve their bottom lines.
Energrow was found in two locations at the show:
1) POSTER PRESENTATION "Farm Scale Bio-Fuel Production – Revolutionary Approach Allows Farmer To Regain Control of Input Costs."
2) SYSTEM DISPLAY Energrow showcased its complete farm-scale unit at the Bioenterprise booth on Aoril 3rd and 4th.
